Designer: Radu Comsa
Title: Seaflowers
Materials: metal
Based on the thermostatic bimetal properties, the Seaflowers are folding lamps that open with the light and slowly close when the light is off. The fine straps are so sensitive to the temperature change that the lamps are in permanent motion, like in the underwater universe.
Floor-to-ceiling typology. The Seaflowers were presented for the first time at 100% Design London 2004 and featured by Frame magazine and Architectural Digest in their festival review.
